In past years, Austin has often brought out the multiplexers for it, so we\u2019ve celebrated it by adding extra limbs, the better to hug with.<\/p>\n<p><em>Morality Day, Fourth Monday of February<\/em> &#8211; A day to encourage people to think about morality.<\/p>\n<p><em>Shiny Day, March 17th<\/em> &#8211; A celebration of shininess, typically celebrated with a ball or dance of some sort.\u00a0 People usually decorate themselves with shiny things.<\/p>\n<p><em>Love Day, April 10th<\/em> &#8211; A day to talk about the things one loves with the people one loves.<\/p>\n<p><em>Day of Remembrance, May 30th<\/em> &#8211; A day to reflect on folks who have departed.\u00a0 Usually celebrated with a gathering at the Plaza and people taking turns talking about the lost folks, sharing anecdotes and so on.<\/p>\n<p><em>Festival of Cuteness, Third Tuesday in June<\/em> &#8211; This popular holiday is celebrated with parades, dancing, karaoke, and various \u201ccuteness competitions\u201d.<\/p>\n<p><em>Expanding Horizons Day, July 14th<\/em> &#8211; This holiday celebrates the storming of the Bastille, and is also a day to try new experiences and views.<\/p>\n<p><em>Jellicle Ball, August 1st<\/em> &#8211; A yearly ball for Jellicle Cats and others, hosted by Patch O\u2019Black.<\/p>\n<p><em>Mecha Day, Third Sunday in August<\/em> &#8211; A day to showcase and celebrate robots, especially big ones.<\/p>\n<p><em>Founder\u2019s Day, September 28th<\/em> &#8211; A day to celebrate the folks who went before us and made the world what it is.<\/p>\n<p><em>Groovy Day, Second Monday in October<\/em> &#8211; A celebration of sixties and seventies culture, particularly musical culture.<\/p>\n<p><em>National Horizontal Day, Third Thursday of November<\/em> &#8211; A day for people to try out being quadrupedal, or to do things related to being quadrupedal.<\/p>\n<p><em>E-Holiday, December 8th<\/em> &#8211; \u201cEverything\u201d Holiday.\u00a0\u00a0 The E-Holiday is the logical-operator \u2018everything\u2019, that is, it is a day for celebrating what, and how, one wants.<a href=\"http:\/\/www.spindizzy.org\/nwp\/wp-content\/uploads\/2013\/06\/raccoon_drawing_2.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignright size-medium wp-image-2548\" style=\"margin: 6px;\" title=\"raccoon_drawing_2\" src=\"http:\/\/www.spindizzy.org\/nwp\/wp-content\/uploads\/2013\/06\/raccoon_drawing_2-300x142.jpg\" alt=\"Qoons\" width=\"300\" height=\"142\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p><em>Raccoon Day<\/em> &#8211; Every day is Raccoon Day &#8211; A day to celebrate Raccoons.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><strong>Unofficial, Proposed, Foreign, and Deprecated Holidays<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><em>Canadia Day, July 1st<\/em> &#8211; A holiday of the Secret Lemur Empire, celebrating the existence of Canada.\u00a0 Traditional festivities include wearing mountie hats, and standing on gourds.<\/p>\n<p><em>National Pickle Attack Month, Month of October<\/em> &#8211;\u00a0 A month set aside to assault people using pickles.<\/p>\n<p><em>Festival de Tomato, October 13th<\/em> &#8211; A proposed holiday for people to assault one another with tomatoes.\u00a0 Proposed independently of National Pickle Attack Month.\u00a0 There&#8217;s just something about October that encourages produce fights.<\/p>\n<p><em>Fox Guys&#8217; Day, November 5th<\/em> &#8211; A day celebrated by blowing up foxes with gunpowder.<\/p>\n<p><em>Thankstaking Day, Last Wednesday in November<\/em> &#8211; On Thankstaking Day, you\u2019re allowed to keep anything that you can pick up and thank the owner for before he objects.
