SpinDizzy Muck - Who's Who

Austin Dern is the main driving force behind SpinDizzy. The unassuming coati can tell you all about space exploration, and is a self confessed animation lover. Managing editor of the muck, Austin is "Head Wiz", and proud possesor of his Ph. D.

Findra is the Server Wiz. She keeps the place on line and free of lag. She's very friendly, and will fuzzle your ears when you least expect it. Being a bunny, she's also useful when the cable TV goes off and you need rabbit ears!

Morticon is the muck's "Evil Wallaby". When not being a wiz, he likes to role play, be with friends, explore, and do "evil things" to the folks in the Rose Garden. Don't be afraid to say hello as he always likes to make new friends!

Ping is a Mouse. He likes cheese of course, but he's also very good with HTML and networking.

Skyler is Helpstaff lead. He is often seen as a pair of bunny slippers. He knows a lot about MPI, and enjoys keeping feet warm.

Helpstaff

Helpstaffers, although not wizzes, love to help out around SpinDizzy. If you have any problems, concerns, questions, or praises, feel free to direct them to one of the Helpstaffers.

Argon is a centaur and claims to know some basic building and global responses. He also manages SpinDizzy.org and the muck's weekly on-line newspaper, @Action News. Because he is a centaur, he of course has Centaursite.com, and will gladly explain both the similarities and differences between himself and a horse. He considers himself very lucky to be married to the lovely Mavra.

Aushae Everything but MUF-coding... (Aushae was lost to us in June of 2007.)

Chanspot is a coffee fossa, known to be helpful with building, tutorials, and basic newbie help. The fossa runs Bristles and Pixels, a local, low-stress, no-frills artist and coffee studio, and is known to enjoy RP from time to time.

Gilead is just an ordinary quadruped otter (Lontra canadensis canadensis), with the ordinary penchant for eating fish, for making horrible puns and innuendo, and for hugging, nuzzling, and grooming anything that moves in his field of view. He's almost always wet from swimming, which makes the hugs that much more exciting.

Kinsor MUF & MPI & Building & Bananas!

Mouser may look like a snake, but don't let that fool you--he's actually a "furpent", a product of 50 million years of future evolution upon the weasel family tree. Sent back in time to the present by means unknown, he's trying to make a living the same way his ancestors did. Mouser's a simple soul, usually just interested in his next meal (a prospect that the smaller members of Spindizzy may find a bit uncivilized.) A loyal member of Spindizzy's Society of Evil Doers since its inception, he's here to give those little critters of the muck a chance to be heroic by the simple expedient of trying to eat them all the time. When he's not playing Tom and Jerry games with his friends, he sometimes moonlights as a fur stole for the fashion-minded Spindizzyite.

NeverNever knows about building, RPing, and total chaos.

Nimble is SpinDizzy's resident flying squirrel Care Bear Cousin. One of the Care Bear family's lesser known members, currently the caretaker for Care-a-Lot and the Forest of Feelings. Nimble can usually be found bouncing about, munching acorns, and giving out hugs and snuggles.

Regulars

Regulars are the other people you are likely to see on the muck. To help you learn more about them, some have provided pictures and links to their websites.

Aleu Caradine is the resident vampire bat of SpinDizzy. In spite of being a vampire, she is actually rather squeamish. She lives in a belfry above an abandoned church, which is now a dance studio after she offered a friend to take the space. Aleu is easy to talk to, though her mood sometimes changes at the drop of a hat. Sometimes reclusive, sometimes outgoing, and sometimes down right silly, Aleu can be a good friend. (And for those wondering, no, garlic will not work on her!)

Ba'ar - This loveable bruin can be found in The Rose Garden chatting cheerily with the local crowd. When not doing so, he can be found hard at work on his columns for the local paper. Check out his website at http://baarsden.itgo.com.

Brenda is a Jedi 'cougirl' (cougar + girl) who can usually be found hanging out at the Rose Garden. She tends to be a bit shy, despite the fact she likes to be 50 or even 100 feet tall (as opposed to being 'normally' 6' 4"). Still, she tries to be friendly, and won't bite. She likes it if you give her a petting or a scritching.

Butterfluff's first conscious memory is of a lab, with a human in a long white coat trying to take a sample of it. The fluff fled. Since then, the fluff has wandered from place to place, occasionally splitting off an offspring. Butterfluff resides in a huge geodesic dome that is actually a spaceship, only lightly anchored to the surface of Spindizzy. (SpinDizzy lost Butterfluff in June of 2004)

Chanspot is a coffee fossa. That's all there is to it, really.

Christie is a bunny child who likes playing with her family and getting snuggles. She wants to grow up to be a either a fairy princess or a ballerina and is always happy to be offered a hug and candy!

Darius is a white ferret, and currently part Kitsune, a result of his accidental death and resurrection. A member of SED, he is part of many diabolical and sometimes silly plots against the do gooders of Spindizzy. A ferret of two sides, he has been known to commit acts of savagry, and kindness. When he isn't furthering his own plans, he can often be found lounging around in the garden or other social gathering spot, giving pounces, licks and nibbles. Darius is very friendly, and open to all sorts of roleplaying ideas, or just to chat. Darius loves to cuddle, and be silly, and play, as is his ferret nature.

Ginger is a vixen, a female fox. She's quiet, not because she has nothing to say, but because she's mute. She always carries a bag with lots of pencils and pads. She hears just fine and writes down what she wants to say. Next time you see her, say hi!

Grumpybear isn't really all that grumpy. He's a nice soft, very snuggly plush bear.

Gryphe, having a very original name, happens to be a Gryphon. He often changes species, gender and name. There is one things that never changes, though; His love for SpinDizzy and its inhabitants. Often playful, he can also be quite serious. Gryphe is always very kind, though. (Or tries to, at the very least) Gryphe sometimes changes form, and his name, to Wulphe.

Kunoichi is the enigmatic CEO of the shadowy "Kunoichi Corporation", which just relocated to SpinDizzy from Yokohama, Japan in February of 2007. She is rarely seen in public, as she has many things to attend to at her corporate headquarters. And for some reason, she makes Morticon very nervous. Her employees, however, tend to be all over the place! If you see a young Asian woman in a gray business suit, there's a 99% chance it's one of Kunoichi's specialized employees. Feel free to say hello!

Mavra is a female centaur who, like many centaurs, used to have human form. Mavra is very proud of becoming a real live "rocket scientist" and will be happy to tell you more trivia about Star Trek than you want to know. She has a "thing" for Patrick Stewart who played the captain of the Enterprise in the second series. She's quite athletic and like her husband, Argon, is adamant about not being a horse. Say hi sometime and you might get a hip bump!

Portia is a red panda who came to SpinDizzy from far away. Although very noble and demure, she is very loyal to her friends and enjoys organizing events and parties. Next time you see her, introduce yourself and say, "Hello!"

Raphael or Tzolkin, is a friendly feline from... somewhere else. He's been known to take many different forms and to keep unusual pets. He likes doing art and writing, as well as computer-related things, and can usually be seen around the Garden or where others are gathered. As any feline would, Raph likes to snuggle and play with yarn. He's not adverse to suddenly giving residents a friendly pounce either, should the situation warrant it.

Ray is (among other things) a ManCheetah, and a recent emigre (as of June, 2004) to Spindizzy. He loves to explore, and to build and uncover new landscapes, as well, are among his great passions. Ray is also a poet, having moderated a weekly Bardic Circle for over three years elseMU; he has accepted an invitation to moderate a similar regular gather on Spindizzy. Ray's Motto: "The enjoyment of any good thing is only enhanced by sharing it with others."

Roofus Roo is a somewhat shy but friendly kangaroo who can often be seen quietly observing things in the Rose Garden. He enjoys fuzzles and patpats, and if you ask politely, may offer you a pouch ride.

Scandal Foxblood is a fox hengeyokai. Although Scandal can change forms most of his time is spent as you see him here. Scandal lives in an oak grove just outside of the Fluff Village. He’s playful and a bit mischievous. Curiosity and a complete inability to resist punning are two of his strongest traits. His blood type is B+ and he tries to. :-) ( Does anybody know what the deal is with the Japanese giving blood types to anime characters anyway?)

Soul Fox is a KitFox, plus a bit more. He's Ray's nephew, having followed him to SpinDizzy in 2004, and looks after his uncle's holdings when Ray is away or busy. Soul is best known as a versatile cook, though he has other talents, as well, among them painting and sculpture. Soul is friendly, if a bit retiring, though he tends to open up more when there is an opportunity to make other furs around him comfortable; he seems happiest when other furs around him are happy. Like Ray, Soul is an occasional, if irregular, contributor to the @Action News; his column is titled, "Soul_Food for Thought."

Tarka Tarka was mistakenly enrolled in kindergarten when he was just a young otter and through that bureaucratic error moved through school and graduated from college. Today he is known as ‘The Otter of Doom’ but no one really believes it really means anything. Other interesting facts, he is the oldest living member of the SED and one of the original founders. Has his paws in many past events and is ‘the’ otter to go to when learning how to the cheat the system.

Terry is a silly, cynical, dystopian bit of mashmallow goo, that usually takes the form of a pangolin. He isn't usually evil, but (being an ex-ferret) feels its his duty to tease people. And that any name with more than six characters needs to be shortened. And that centaurs should be required to wear socks in public.

Tottle is kind of shy and not well-spoken, but tries to be well-mannered and kind to everyone. He started as a normal hare, but fell in with the R&D division of a group trying to oppose the SED. Due to those experiences, a second head soon appeared on his shoulders. There's still only 'one' Tottle, though. Recently, he was changed from a hare into a raccoon with a little magic from Nikon, and back through the kind help of Findra.

Vixie is very cute, and can best be described as "small fox, big attitude". She has a very inflated opinion of herself, and can be sarcastic and a bit caustic. But, deep down she is a good fox, and very loyal to her friends.
